Former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol believes that Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot is good enough to play for any team in the world, but he wouldn’t fit in with manager Jurgen Klopp’s style of play.
The Reds have frequently been linked with a move for the 23-year old Parisian star, while Arsenal, Barcelona and many others are also said to be keeping an eye on his situation with the Ligue 1 club.

While many Liverpool fans would be happy to see their club sign Rabiot, Nicol believes the club would be better off without him, as his style doesn’t fit how Klopp wants to play.
Talking about what Rabiot would offer to Liverpool’s midfield unit, as reported by the Express, Nicol said:
Yes (Liverpool need him).
(But) I’m not quite so sure he fits the dynamic closing down, chasing down, harrying, getting the ball, type of player that it seems like Klopp likes in the middle of the park.
Klopp seems to be happy with the three up front, get them the ball and let them get on with it.
Rabiot, for me, plays at a little slower pace than what I think Klopp wants.
Fantastic player, no question he’d grace any team in the world. But I just don’t think he fits in to the way Klopp plays.
So that would be a no.
