Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was spotted using crutches and wearing a protective boot following Liverpool’s 1-0 Club World Cup Final win over Flamengo.
The Reds needed to take the game into extra-time to win, where Roberto Firmino’s goal secured the club’s first title in the competition.
Oxlade-Chamberlain came off during the second half after bending his ankle at an awkward angle following a tackle, with the England international looking to be in serious pain.

He then emerged at the end of the game to celebrate the win with his teammates, wearing a boot and resting on crutches.
It is expected that the boot and crutches are precautionary before Liverpool can take the 26-year old to have a scan to learn the extend of the injury.

If the Ox is out for a while with the injury, it would be a massive shame as he has suffered his fair share of injury issues in the past.
Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp will certainly hope that his situation proves to be not much more than an injury scare, as Klopp will want to count on as many fit players as possible as he looks to maintain his side’s hold on the Premier League title as we enter the second half of the season.
