Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos claims his ‘conscience is clear’ following the saga surrounding his game-ending challenge on Mohamed Salah during last season’s Champions League final.
Ramos also says he is not concerned about receiving any negative reaction when Spain take on Wembley on Saturday.
The 32-year old centre-back is set to captain La Furia Roja in their opening Nations League game against the Three Lions, in his first match for the country since their disappointing World Cup campaign.

Naturally, Ramos was once again asked about the Salah incident before the game, with the Egyptian forward and Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp both repeatedly bringing the incident up. However Ramos wasn’t phased by the question, shrugging off any guilt over the situation.
As reported by The Independent, Ramos said:
I have a clear conscience. It doesn’t matter to me. I am not really concerned about that.
I never wanted to hurt a colleague on the pitch. My conscience is very clear.
I know the English fans will give the receptions players deserve. I am not worried about that in the slightest.
