Many Liverpool fans were shocked last night when Alan Shearer and Ian Wright revealed who they believe will clinch the Premier League title after watching the first round of fixtures.
Speaking on Match of the day, the pair both said they believe that Liverpool will win the Premier League title this season, despite Man City still being the favourites for most pundits.
The Reds started their campaign off in perfect fashion, beating newly promoted Norwich City 4-1 at Anfield.

You can’t really take much from a prediction after the first game of the season, as there is certainly a long way to go.
However, despite the Reds having 37 league games left, it does say something that many more pundits are predicting success for the Reds this time out.
Some may see it as a curse, but it does show that Liverpool are doing something right so far.
The victory over Norwich was impressive, if just for the first half performance, but the Reds will now be looking for more as we continue with the season.
