Manchester United have moved ahead of Liverpool in the chase for Lyon forward Nabil Fekir, according to a report in France.
Liverpool failed to finalise a mega money deal for Fekir shortly before the World Cup began, and many sources had indicated that the Reds will resurrect the deal once the tournament has concluded.
However, French outlet Le Progres, as cited by SportsMole, claim that in Liverpool’s absence, other clubs have made offers – most notably Manchester United who have stolen a march.

The report claims that Liverpool failed to close a deal before because they had attempted to renegotiate the transfer fee late on, claiming that £55million was as high as they would go, which led to the unmovable Lyon pulling the plug on the deal.
While Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas previously commented that Liverpool could yet resurrect a deal, they are currently falling behind their bitter rivals on this occasion.
