Watford eyeing replacement for Liverpool target Doucouré

Watford have reportedly identified a replacement for Liverpool linked Abdoulaye Doucouré, with the midfielder racking up plenty of interest, according to Harrow Times.

The 25-year old defensive midfielder has been the subject of interest from a number of clubs across the continent recently, with Paris Saint-Germain, as well as English trio Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham said to be keen on securing his services.

Despite Doucouré having signed a new five-year contract with the club in August, the Hornets are looking at potential replacements in case the lure of Champions League football or a greater challenge tempt him to leave Vicarage Road.

PSG appears to be the most likely destination for the former Rennes man, with a move to the Parc des Princes likely to enhance his chances of breaking into the France international squad.

With this in mind Watford have set their mind on Nice midfielder Adrien Tameze, who would cost in the region of £10million, with Huddersfield man Philip Billing also considered to be a target.

Watford value the midfielder at £45-50million.
