Fekir pleads with Lyon to let him join Liverpool

Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir has pleaded with his club’s president to let him join Liverpool this summer.

According to Mirror journalist David Maddock, Fekir met with Aulas during the World Cup to discuss the potential deal.

Maddock claims that Aulas has now agreed to revive talks with Liverpool after Fekir’s insistence on the deal going through.

However, Liverpool will not do business for the, previously agreed, fee of £53m after the move broke down last month.

Fekir was all set to join the club before Liverpool opted out upon the results of his medical.

A move for the French international could now be back on, if Lyon drop their asking price.

Liverpool will have to wait until after the World Cup final on Sunday, with Fekir set to face Croatia for his country.
