The Premier League have announced that they are introducing a new Hall of Fame, acknowledging the brilliance of those who have shone brightest in the competition down the years.
There are a number of standout individuals from a non-Liverpool perspective, with the likes of Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry and Ryan Giggs all undoubtedly worth of being included, among many others, whether it be English stars or foreign heroes.
While the Reds are yet to win the Premier League – that could be about to change very soon in the coming weeks, hopefully – they have still had some outstanding players over the past 28 years, since the competition’s inception in 1992.
That elusive title may have eluded them to date, but silverware should never be the sole reason for a player’s inclusion.
Here are five players we believe deserve to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, with non-retired players not included.
