Football supporters love to think they are right about everything, whether it be to do with managers, tactics or anything else you can think of.
Players are arguably the topic of conversation that causes the most debate, however, with fans so often torn on individuals.
This has been the case with numerous Liverpool players during Jurgen Klopp’s time at Anfield, with some rating players highly and others claiming they are useless.
Here are five Reds who have always divided opinion with Klopp at the helm.
Dejan Lovren
Dejan Lovren is now in his sixth season at Liverpool, where his stock is arguably as low as it has even been.
The Croatian has had plenty of admirers throughout his time at the club, however, with those individuals often claiming he is done by and that others would struggled to do as good a job from elsewhere.
On the flip side, Lovren is not rated by many, especially as each season has passed, with errors too common and Liverpool moving on without him.
Mamadou Sakho
Few have divided opinion quite like Mamadou Sakho, who was both loved and loathed as a Liverpool player.
Gangly and awkward, some felt that his style summed up his mistake-prone nature, while others thought it worked unfairly against him.
For every supporter who treated him like a world-class centre-back, there were others who were glad to see him leave when he did.
Jordan Henderson
Put the word ‘divisive’ into Google and Jordan Henderson’s face may well show up.
The Liverpool captain has been unbelievably divisive down the years, and only now does he appear to have the majority of the fanbase on his side.
Some accuse him of being a sideways and backwards passing merchant who is out of his depth, while his supporters believe he is top class footballer whose influence at Anfield is starting to become unrivalled.
Emre Can
If you rated Henderson, you couldn’t rate Emre Can, and vice versa. That seemed to be the rule, bizarrely.
The German was rated like Steven Gerrard by many, but those who disliked him accused him of running in treacle and flattering to deceive.
As is the case with so many divisive players, there was a middle ground that Can ultimately belonged in.
Adam Lallana
We will finish with Adam Lallana, who looks set to be leave Liverpool this summer.
The 31-year-old has fans who really like him, praising him for his pressing ability and silky use of the ball.
On the slip side, however, Lallana drives others mad, not least the fact that he only has one goal and assist since May 2017.
Who would be a footballer, eh!
