Liverpool have discovered a gem in right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, with former Reds defender Lee Peltier tipping the youngster to become “the best in the world” in his position.
In an interview with Anfield HQ, Peltier described him as “a really, really good player, who is only going to get better”, before adding; “He is only young and he will have his ups and downs but people have to realise how young he is, but he’s made a fantastic start to his Liverpool career.”

The 19-year-old has risen through the ranks at Anfield over the last year, and is now deemed first choice, ahead of Nathaniel Clyne and Joe Gomez, in Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
Alexander-Arnold, who is currently on international duty, earned himself a place in the England side with his superb performances and is looking to add to his two caps that he won at last summer’s World Cup in Russia. He also represented Liverpool in the Champions League Final, where Real Madrid ran out 3-1 victors.
The youngster has been extremely impressive with his consistent performances, even in high-pressure situations, and Liverpool fans will be hoping he can continue his development and become a huge part in the future.
