Four Liverpool players who deserve an upgrade in FIFA 18

For many football fans, September is always an exciting month, because it means the new instalment of FIFA is nearly upon them.

Popular story mode ‘The Journey’ is set to return with Alex Hunter going on a European tour, but FIFA Ultimate Team remains the most used game mode.

With that in mind, we’re going to look at four Liverpool players that deserve an upgrade in FIFA 18, which is due to be released on September 28th.

Sadio Mane 82 > 85

In Philippe Coutinho’s absence, Sadio mane has very quickly become Liverpool’s main man in the early stages of the new season.

The Senegalese international also had a very strong first season at Anfield, which included 13 Premier League goals.

We believe that his FIFA 18 card will reflect his stature as one of the best wingers in the Premier League.

Mane started FIFA 17 rated 79, received a midseason upgrade to 82 and is likely to go even higher in FIFA 18.

Georginio Wijnaldum 81 > 82

Georginio Wijnaldum’s FIFA 18 card is likely to look drastically different to his FIFA 17 card. He is in line for an improved card, as well as a position change.

He started FIFA 17 as an 81 rated LM, but we believe an 82 rated CM card is likely.

As a whole, his stats are unlikely to change too much. Defensively he is likely to improve, while his pace stat may drop slightly.

Andrew Robertson 75 > 77

The perks of being a Liverpool player, right? All jokes aside, Robertson had a respectable campaign at Hull, who were battling against relegation.

He performed well enough to earn his move to Liverpool, so by all accounts, he’s performed well enough for an upgrade in FIFA 18.

Expect his card to be slightly improved all around with a small increase in his overall rating.

Trent Alexander-Arnold 68 > 72

Trent Alexander-Arnold is very highly thought of at Anfield and it’s clear to see the potential is there.

Jurgen Klopp has put him on the fringes of the first-team squad this season and his FIFA 18 card will reflect that.

In FIFA 17 Alexander-Arnold is a 68 rated RM card. He’s likely to shift down to a RB card and enter the low 70s with his overall rating.
