Genk sporting director Dimitri De Conde has admitted that Liverpool are tracking midfielder Sander Berge.
The Reds have twice come up against the 21-year-old in the Champions League this season.
He shone in the two matches, despite ending up on the losing team on both occasions.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for Berge, as have fellow Group E opponents Napoli, and De Conde has confirmed as much.
Speaking to Radio Punto Nuovo, with his quotes provided by Sport Witness, the 44-year-old said a number of club were chasing the Norwegian, including the Reds:
Napoli are interested in Sander and it is a possibility.
We also know Liverpool follow him carefully. Klopp spoke to the boy after the Anfield game, congratulating him on the performance.
In Italy there are clubs that follow Berge and Napoli could be one of these, but to date we have no concrete offers on the table. It could even change in the coming weeks.

Not a huge amount is known about Berge outside Belgium, where he continues to shine for Genk.
He is an exciting prospect, however, and Jurgen Klopp clearly thinks highly of him as a player.
Liverpool are well-stocked in midfield at the moment, but James Milner is ageing, and Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum are both approaching 30.
Berge could be a long-term acquisition – someone who is seen as a regular starter further down the line.
