Gini Wijnaldum a doubt for Bournemouth?

Update: Jurgen Klopp spoke at his press conference and said Wijnaldum is fit to play.

Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum could be a doubt for Saturday’s clash with Bournemouth after he missed training to return to the Netherlands.

The Dutch international has been in great form this season but sat out as the Reds defeated Burnley 3-1 on Wednesday evening and he’s not trained with the squad since.

A look at Wijnaldum’s Instagram account shows the 28-year-old in Rotterdam and unless he plans to meet his teammates at Bournemouth, then it looks like he’ll miss the game.

That will leave Jurgen Klopp with the choice of any three of Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, Adam Lallana, James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri to play in midfield for the early game on Saturday.

Liverpool will also be without defender Joe Gomez, who will be out for six weeks after he suffered a fracture to his lower leg during the physical encounter at Turk Moor.
