Erling Haaland has described Virgil van Dijk as ‘incredible’, calling him his toughest opponent.
Haaland has become one of the most talked about footballers in the world this season, scoring bucket-loads of goals for both Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund.
The youngster came up against Van Dijk in the Champions League earlier in the campaign, but failed to get much out of the Dutchman.
Speaking to France Football, Haaland outlined by the Liverpool superstar is the best he has come up against.
He is so good. He is powerful, quick, he possesses all the qualities. He is an incredible player.

It is easy to look back at former great players with nostalgia-tinted glasses and pretend they were invincible, but I genuinely believe the 28-year-old is as good as any centre-back in the last 20 years.
As a player, he is without fault, possessing every single attribute needed to be a truly world-class defender. He is big, strong, lightning fast, a monster in the air, positionally perfect and a great leader.
He already has plenty of plaudits, with CCN labelling him as the greatest ever Premier League defender.
The likes of Alessandro Nesta, Fabio Cannavaro, Rio Ferdinand, John Terry and Gerard Pique are all greats of the game, to name but a few, but I wouldn’t swap Van Dijk for any of them.
The only thing working against Van Dijk is that he has only been at this unrivalled level for two years or so – if he can continue in this vein until his early to mid 30s, winning trophies along the way, I believe we will be talking about him as an all-time great in the years to come.
