Harry Wilson rejects Liverpool contract

Liverpool youngster Harry Wilson has rejected a new deal which was offered by the club, as reported by ESPN.

Chances in the first-team have been limited for the 20-year-old, but, he has performed well in the Premier League 2 competition for the club’s under 23’s, where he has scored nine and assisted three times in the ten appearances he has made at this level.

Wilson’s talent is clear for all to see but chances are going to be so limited with the likes of Roberto Firmino, Dom Solanke, Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings all above him in the pecking order which has resulted in him looking for a move elsewhere.

He made his debut earlier in the year against Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup but, has seen opportunities with Jurgen Klopp really few and far between.

The forward signed a new deal in 2016 but with no signs of him getting a first-team chance he has opted to reject the new contract.

Preston North-End have emerged as the favorites to claim the players signature on a loan deal but if Liverpool fail to tie the youngster down then it could be a scenario where he leaves on a cheap deal.
