Joe Gomez was part of a Liverpool defence that kept another clean sheet on Wednesday night, as the Reds won 2-0 at West Ham to go 19 points clear of Manchester City.
The 22-year-old has made the centre-back spot his own again alongside Virgil van Dijk, following an injury to Joel Matip back in October.
Gomez has found a similar level of form to the early months of last season, before a broken leg at Burnley affected his campaign from that point on.
One incredible statistic appeared after the win over West Ham, highlighting how good Liverpool’s defence has been in recent times when the English international is on the pitch.
Remarkably, the Reds have only conceded eight goals in his last 35 Premier League appearances:

Furthermore, they have only conceded twice in his last 11 starts, in all competitions.
These Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to heap praise on Gomez, lauding his imperious form at the heart of the Reds’ defence.
