Huge boost for Reds as Salah won’t play for Egypt during international break

Mohamed Salah not being involved for Egypt later this month is a huge positive for Liverpool.

The 27-year-old was the Reds’ hero in midweek, scoring twice against Salzburg in a 4-3 win, including the winning goal.

Having stayed in Liverpool during last month’s international break, it was assumed that Salah would head off and represent Egypt this time around.

According to Egypt Today, however, Liverpool’s No.11 will not be involved in their clash with Botswana on October 14th.

He will rest during that period instead, allowing him to be fresh for when the Reds to action to action on October 20th, away to Manchester United.

This is a major boost for Liverpool, considering the risk of injury and fatigue that comes with an international break.

Admittedly, numerous other key men will be jetting off to various places around the world with their countries, but having Salah well-rested is a real bonus.

Despite his double against Salzburg, Liverpool’s Egyptian King hasn’t been at his devastating best yet this season.

Hopefully, this period after Saturday’s home meeting with Leicester City will allow him to recharge the batteries and hit top gear.
