Liverpool central defender Joe Gomez is set for a call-up to the England senior squad on Thursday.
England manager Gareth Southgate will name his squad for next month’s games on Thursday, with Gomez expected to be one of the defenders selected.
According to The Mirror, Gomez will come back into the team after missing out on the World Cup through injury.
Gomez has had a brilliant start to the Premier League campaign with Liverpool, who are the only side yet to concede a goal.
The former Charlton man has been superb alongside Virgil Van Dijk in defence, helping to keep three straight clean sheets.
His Liverpool teammates Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold are also expected to be called up once again.
The report also claims that Adam Lallana has a chance at being called up, with the midfielder now fit and ready to play a part for his country.
