Premier League side Liverpool will be challenged by Serie A giants Juventus for the signature of Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho, according to a report on Bleacher Report.
The Reds have been keeping tabs on the 25-year-old midfielder but Juventus are reportedly going to use tonight’s UEFA Champions League clash against Sporting to scout Carvalho.
Liverpool are looking increasingly likely to lose central midfielder Emre Can and are looking for replacements, with Carvalho the name which has come up most frequently.

The Portuguese international has one assist in the league this season and has played every minute of Sporting’s UEFA Champions League group stage so far.
Carvalho was influential for Portugal as they secured qualification to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
There was heaps of praise thrown on Carvalho after his performances for his country and this has seen interest in him rise.
Fellow Premier league side West Ham United were closest to securing his signature last summer but had a £25m offer turned down.
Carvalho currently has more than two and a half years left on his contract and has a release clause of £35.5m and should Can leave Anfield, then Carvalho is a very realistic target for Jurgen Klopp.
