It feels like a long time ago now that Loris Karius was experiencing a nightmare performance for Liverpool in the 2018 Champions League final.
The German was swiftly loaned out to Besiktas on a two-year loan deal, where his displays have received mixed reviews.
There have been rumours that Karius could return to Liverpool in January, with Besiktas potentially willing to end his loan spell prematurely.
In an interview with Sabah, via Sport Witness, the 26-year-old has provided an update on his future, suggesting he is keen to remain in Turkey:
I don’t know what will happen next season. If I want to continue at this club, and if Besiktas want me to stay, then I’ll stay.
But there’s no point in talking about this at this stage of the season. We’ll have a lot of time to discuss these matters. We’ll see what happens.

Karius’ Liverpool days still look numbered, despite reports tipping him to make a January return.
Alisson has come in and shown how superior he is to the former Mainz star, with Adrian also proving to be an upgrade on him.
Karius could come back as third choice, allowing Caoimhin Kelleher to head out on loan, but that is about the best he can hope for.
He is one of the only signings that has to be considered a failure under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
