Naby Keita looks set to play against MK Dons on Wednesday night, with his return from injury a huge boost for Liverpool.
The Guinean has not played competitively for the Reds since the 3-0 defeat away to Barcelona back in May, making a second-half cameo in the Community Shield defeat to Manchester City in August.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday, Jurgen Klopp’s assistant Pep Lijnders described Keita as being “in a really good way”.
The grin on the Dutchman’s face suggested Keita may even start in the Carabao Cup third round meeting, but even if he doesn’t, he should feature.

Keita could end up being the final piece of the jigsaw in what is already a wonderful Liverpool side.
He arrived with a huge reputation from RB Leipzig last summer, with some even describing him as the most exciting central midfielder in Europe.
Injuries, patchy form and adjusting to life in England all worked against Keita in his first season at Anfield, however, with many left a little disappointed.
His talent is undeniable, however, and if he can return to full fitness, he can be a massive player for the Reds this season and beyond.
