Juventus star Sami Khedira has reportedly confirmed the future of Liverpool midfielder Emre Can.
As quoted by Sports Illustrated and Fox Sports senior writer Grant Wahl, Khedira has claimed that Can will be signing for Juventus this summer.
Can’s future is an issue that has been rumbling on throughout the season at Liverpool, with his current contract set to expire this summer.
However, Khedira has made the claim that Can will, indeed, be making the move to Turin once he becomes a free agent.
The German midfielder missed Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Manchester City in the Champions League this week with a back injury, but could return in time for the second-leg.
Despite the speculation over his future all season, Can has impressed in midfield for Liverpool and not let himself become distracted by where he could be playing his football next campaign.
Khedira said this when asked if Can was going to join Juventus:
Yes. It’s going to happen.
