Klopp fails to rule Alisson out of Leicester clash – is he worth risking?

Alisson returning to face Leicester City this weekend would be a positive, but rushing him back is needless.

The Brazilian has not featured for Liverpool since injuring his calf against Norwich City on August 9th.

Adrian has excelled in his teammate’s absence, however, growing all the time between the sticks.

Speaking in his pre-Salzburg press conference, Jurgen Klopp failed to rule out his No.1 completely ahead of Saturday’s visit of Leicester:

There are two opinions; one is Ali’s opinion, one is the medical department’s. We have to wait.

It was a serious injury and we don’t want to take any risks. For tomorrow, no chance. We have to see for Leicester, then for United 100 per cent.

Alisson is arguably the world’s best goalkeeper, so news of his return is always going to be exciting.

There is no point rushing the 26-year-old back prematurely, though, especially with Adrian doing so well in place of him.

Liverpool need Alisson back, but only when he is 100 percent fit.

They have been excellent without him over the past two months, but that shouldn’t take anything away from his vast influence.
