You’d imagine it’d be impossible for Jurgen Klopp to cut a discontent figure about Liverpool’s season so far.
However, he’s expressed his unhappiness about the Premier League’s hectic winter schedule ahead of today’s top-of-the-table clash at Leicester City.
Klopp pinpointed the fact teams don’t get more than 48 hours rest between matches as ‘a crime’ when addressing the media in his pre-match press conference, cited by The Statesman.
It is absolutely not OK. There’s no reason why more teams do not get more than 48 hours between Premier League games. None of the managers have a problem playing on Boxing Day, but playing on the 26th and 28th is a crime. This year we play 26th and 29th and it’s like a holiday.

It’s set to be one of the Reds’ toughest tests of the season so far at the King Power Stadium, with Leicester desperate to bounce back after Manchester City ended their nine-match winning run at the weekend.
The highly-anticipated clash provides an opportunity to stretch the lead at the Premier League summit to 13 points though.
Although Klopp has shared his displeasure, other teams have it worse than Liverpool this season, who next face Wolves on Sunday.
Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester are just a few of the teams having to kick-off again on Saturday.
