Jurgen Klopp has brilliantly laughed off Danny Mills’ recent combined XI that saw only Liverpool players picked and no Manchester United individuals.
Mills’ team caused plenty of uproar, adding to the feeling that the Reds are overriding favourites to win at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Klopp doesn’t see it that way at all, however, as he looks for his first victory there.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the Liverpool boss says the combined XI sums up the current world, adding that he has nothing but respect for United:
It’s like a joke, like building a banana skin.
The world at the moment is like a circus and we are in the centre. I am 100% sure of the strength of Manchester United.

Klopp has played this brilliantly, taking the pressure off his players and simply making Mills look foolish.
The Sky Sports pundit, who seems to have an issue with Liverpool, may simply have been putting pressure on the Reds ahead of the game, ready to lay into them if they then happen to drop points.
Klopp is far too intelligent for nonsense like that, though, and he will know that his side face a big challenge this weekend.
