Jurgen Klopp has opened up about Philippe Coutinho’s move to Bayern Munich this summer, revealing it is a move that will suit both parties involved, but should he have made a loan move for the midfielder?
According to the Mirror, Klopp told German outlet Bild that he believes Coutinho is ‘a good fit’ for Bayern after his struggles with Barcelona, but Liverpool did not have enough money to pursue a move themselves.
World class player, really good transfer for Bayern and the Bundesliga. I thought it’s a good fit for both when I first heard about it. It may sound strange, but we didn’t have enough money to get him. We’d already spent all the money we got for him. I have already told him in person that he and Bayern will be a good fit.
So should Liverpool have looked to sign him on loan?

If money was the issue for Liverpool with regards to not bringing Coutinho back to Anfield, then a loan move would surely have been considered by the club.
He was one of the standout figures at Liverpool following his move from Inter Milan, and would have no doubt made a positive impact once again.
However, it wasn’t meant to be for Coutinho and a return to Anfield in the summer, and many will now be keeping an eye on him to see how he fares in the Bundesliga.
