Liverpool amongst several clubs who made official Havertz contact

Bayer Leverkusen youngster Kai Havertz is one of Europe’s most sought after players at the moment.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder, who can also operate on either flank, has been valued at around €130m by the German Bundesliga club.

He was linked with a big move during the summer and with the January transfer window approaching, several clubs have registered their interest.

According to German news outlet Bild, Liverpool are amongst seven clubs that have made an official approach to Havertz’s representatives.

Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea are the other sides that have made contact.

Havertz is one of the best young players on the planet and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp knows that signing him will strengthen his squad.

His versatility is also something that makes him very valuable as he can be used in many different positions.

We’re expecting a huge battle for his services and the Reds should be prepared to offer a huge sum to secure his signature. It will be worth it.
