Liverpool and Crystal Palace: Combined XI

Later today, Liverpool face a tough home-tie against one of their fierce bogey-teams, Crystal Palace.

Liverpool, playing off the back of a round-trip to Russia for their Thursday night Europa League win vs Rubin, will want to win to put to bed any remaining ghosts of the past few seasons, which have seen Palace dominate the Reds three matches in a row.

The last time these teams met, Steven Gerrard was waving farewell to the Kop for the final time before his move to the US and LA Galaxy.

If Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool can win the match, that will be four wins in two weeks, a far cry from the dour results that stained the early part of the season.

So how good are today’s opponents? Would any of their players get in the Liverpool side?

To find that out, I’ve created my combined Liverpool/Palace XI.

matchday.
