Liverpool have announced Adrian as their third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Sepp van den Berg and Harvey Elliott.
The 32-year-old joins on a two-year deal from West Ham, immediately replacing Simon Mignolet, who has opted to move to Club Brugge.
Adrian will play second fiddle to Alisson in the Liverpool goal this season, with the Brazilian the Reds’ undisputed first choice man between the sticks.
It is a shrewd signing by the European champions, considering the Spaniard’s ball-playing ability and shot-stopping expertise.
Liverpool supporters have taken to Twitter to give their views on what Adrian can offer, with some of the focus on his penalty-taking ability…

Even though the Spaniard will more than likely just feature in the Reds’ domestic cup competitions, it appears to be a great piece of business.
The experienced shot-stopper has plenty of top-flight experience, so it makes sense for Liverpool to cash in on Mignolet, who wanted regular game time.
Adrian will only help Alisson in his second season, and even though the 32-year-old won’t feature much on the pitch, his knowledge off the field looks set to come in handy over the course of the campaign.
