Liverpool have signed Hull left-back Andrew Robertson, for a fee in the region of £8 million, potentially rising to £10 million.
The Scotland international made 39 appearances for Hull last year, but could not save them from being consigned to relegation from the Premier League.
He becomes Liverpool’s third summer signing, following the arrivals of young forward Dominic Solanke from Premier League champions Chelsea and record signing Mohammed Salah from Serie A outfit AS Roma.
With Jurgen Klopp looking to get rid of Alberto Moreno to pastures new, he had prioritised Robertson’s signing to tighten up his defence ahead of the new season.
Klopp is also looking to complete audacious moves for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita, as well as Southampton defender Virgil Van Dijk, however the South Coast side want £75 million for the Dutchman.
With Champions League football returning to Anfield next season, Jurgen Klopp wants to add some big names to his squad, and Robertson is a perfect start to what could be a promising season for Liverpool.
