Liverpool are considering making a sensational move to re-sign Raheem Sterling from Manchester City, according to L’Equipe, as translated by Sport Witness.
The 25-year-old departed Anfield for the Etihad back in 2015, where he has since matured into a world-class player.
This latest report states that City could have to sell Sterling if their European ban is upheld, however, and that a member of his entourage has hinted about a Reds reunion:
Even if Raheem is attached to Manchester City, he hasn’t forgotten Liverpool, because that’s where he became who he is as a man and as a player.
Of course, there was controversy surrounding his exit, but since then, time has run its course and everything is possible.

While things ended on a sour note for Sterling at Liverpool, I think any logical fan should want him back at the club. He is still relatively young and he has become one of Europe’s most prolific wide men, scoring 46 goals and registering 22 assists in the Premier League over the past three seasons.
Not only could he provide competition for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, but he is also a few years younger, and could make up for one of them leaving further down the line.
Not only that, but signing him from City could weaken Liverpool’s most direct rivals significantly when you consider what a key figure he has been for them. Only Sergio Aguero has scored more Premier League goals for Pep Guardiola’s side this season.
