Liverpool legend Sami Hyypia believes Jurgen Klopp does not need to spend money in the January transfer window, as he already has a good enough squad to finish in the top four.
The Reds are currently fourth in the Premier League, and qualified for the Champions League last-16, as they stretched their unbeaten run to nine games in all competitions (W7, D2).
There have been talks of the Anfield side eyeing some new additions, but Hyypia insists that the sides impressive run of results proves that Klopp’s team is good enough already.
“At the moment, I think no department needs any improvement”, the Champions League winner stated.
“We are winning games, scoring goals and even keeping clean sheets so everything is fine at the moment”.
Liverpool have taken the league by storm this season, with summer recruit and record signing Mo Salah currently the Premier League’s top goalscorer, with 12 goals.
Klopp’s side have also netted 33 times in their opening 15 games, the third highest total so far.
With Liverpool’s league rivals likely to invest further in the summer, Hyypia stressed that big signings can sometimes be disruptive and that The Reds should look to improve the players they already have.
