Liverpool have enquired about the possible transfer of Watford forward Ismaila Sarr according to the North West football reporter for the Daily Mail Dominic King.
The reliable journalist has stated that no bid has been made as of yet, however, the Reds are ‘seriously’ considering the possibility of making the Senegalese international a part of the squad as a backup for their front three.
King also claims that the London club would want in excess of £36 million for the 22-year-old, no surprise when you consider his ability and the fact they shelled out around £30 million to get their man just over a year ago.
Recently relegated with his current employers, Sarr is likely to jump at the opportunity to return to the Premier League – certainly with the current champions.
Sarr was often used as a wide forward and scored five goals in his debut Premier League season, including two on the night Klopp’s side lost their unbeaten record at Vicarage Road.
International teammate Sadio Mane would likely endorse a move for the talented forward, the two were pictured in the tunnel following the match at Anfield last season.
On the day tbat Klopp’s side took huge strides towards the conformation of Thiago Alcantara’s arrival from Bayern Munich, this news will come as an added boost as many fans recognise the need for additional striking cover.
