Liverpool completed the signing of Takumi Minamino on Thursday, with the 24-year-old officially becoming a Reds player on January 1st, having joined until June 2024.
The Japanese star was one of Salzburg’s standout individuals when they twice came up against Liverpool in the Champions League group stage earlier this season.
Rumours of a move for Minamino emerged this time last week and a deal has been swiftly completed.
The attacking midfielder’s debut could come at home to Everton in the FA Cup third round on January 5th.

Minamino has the potential to be a superb signing for the Reds, ticking so many of the boxes required to thrive under Jurgen Klopp.
His performance at Anfield was one of the best by an opposition player in a long time, as he showcased his class on the ball and relentless work ethic.
