Liverpool fans are divided after Lallana’s latest interview

Adam Lallana has become almost famed for his preference for doing interviews, which often winds up some Liverpool fans.

The 31-year-old’s Reds career has been a curious one, with moments of class thrown in but too many injuries and forgettable performances on show, too.

In his latest interview, this time with the Times‘ Paul Joyce, Lallana delves into a number of topics, from his shock at being dropped from Liverpool’s matchday squad against Norwich to discussing the No.6 role he took up during pre-season.

He is also very open about how his time out injured affected him, even changing his training schedule in order to stay away from teammates.

These Reds fans have taken to Twitter to respond to the midfielder’s latest comments, with some showing support and others fast losing patience.

The accusations aimed at Lallana regarding the number of interviews he does is fair, but this is one of his more insightful sit downs.

It is clear that he has gone through a horrible period with injuries, while his words on the No.6 role are interesting, even though it is unlikely we will see him there for the first team.

The lack of sympathy from some is understandable, to an extent, because Lallana has flattered to deceive so much in a Liverpool shirt, while being on high wages.

In truth, the Reds have moved on while he has stood still, or perhaps even gone backwards, and he is fortunate not to have been moved on by Jurgen Klopp.

A clearly talented footballer has been badly affected by fitness woes, his character should not be questioned, but his Liverpool career is worthy of criticism.
