A number of Liverpool supporters have been left angered by Steve Nicol’s comments about Mohamed Salah.
The Scot is seen as a Reds legend, having been a key man at the club during a period of dominance in the 1980s. He played 468 times for the club, winning endless silverware along the way.
Nicol’s reputation as a pundit arguably isn’t as great, however, with the former full-back known for his controversial opinions.
He has come out with a new one over the weekend, with Salah on the wrong end of his comments.
Speaking to ESPN, Nicol described the Liverpool superstar as the most frustrating player in the Premier League.
Winning is the deodorant of the game, it covers all bad smells. Winning covers a lot of bad things.
You can say it with Salah. Salah’s form this season, is there a guy that frustrates you more in the Premier League or anywhere else with the things he does in a game?
Then all of a sudden he will produce something. So you could say the same about him as well. But again, he plays every game and why? Because they win.
Considering Salah’s record speaks for itself, with an incredible 91 goals in 144 appearances for the Reds, Nicol’s remarks seem harsh.
These Liverpool fans did not take kindly to his comments, accusing him of talking nonsense, while also sticking up for Salah.
This guy just never gives it a rest

He doesn't frustrate anyone..can't help it if you see it otherwise the rest see it. Consistently 20 goals per season in the last 3 he is with the club. Mo Salah will do anything to win the #PL for #LFC
