Sadio Mane has been among Liverpool best signings of the last 30 years, maturing into one of the world’s most devastating wide players.
The 27-year-old has scored 65 goals in 129 appearances for the Reds, making up one third of Europe’s best attack along with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
When Mane made the move to Anfield in 2016, however, he didn’t quite have the same reputation.
An old Tweet has emerged of Sky Sports News announcing his arrival, with some of the responses from rival fans ageing quite appallingly.
These Liverpool supporters have been responding to them brilliantly, mocking numerous woeful predictions about how he would fare.

Admittedly, not all Liverpool fans were sold on Mane when he joined, with Mario Gotze the more glamorous option.
It was still an exciting piece of business, though, and some of the opinions of rivals were staggering in hindsight, going to show how easy it is to look foolish.
Mane is now one of the Premier League’s star men and he has been Liverpool’s best player in 2019.
While the likes of Neymar and Eden Hazard are again more fashionable names, the Reds have the best left-sided player on the planet in their ranks currently.
