Liverpool fans cannot believe Trent has been compared to Chelsea star

Some Liverpool supporters cannot believe that Chelsea’s Reece James is supposedly a better all-round footballer than their very own Trent Alexander-Arnold.

That’s what former Chelsea defender Frank Sinclair thinks, claiming the Blues youngster has more to his game.

Former Chelsea defender Frank Sinclair: “Defensively, Reece James is a better defender than Alexander-Arnold at the moment.

“As an all-round full-back, I think there is more to his game than Trent; he is good going forward but he is also very strong defensively.”

Alexander-Arnold has enjoyed a remarkable rise at Liverpool, becoming arguably the best right-back in the world currently.

Still only 21, he acts as the playmaker in this stunning Reds side, enjoying an almost unrivalled influence.

His quality from out wide is a joy to watch, whether it be inch-perfect cross-field passes or whipped crosses, not to mention the constant energy he provides.

Alexander-Arnold is also the youngest player to start two Champions League finals, further highlighting his pedigree.

While James has impressed for Chelsea this season, it is extremely bold to suggest he is better than his Liverpool counterpart. These Reds supporters took to Twitter to react to Sinclair’s comments, mocking them in the process.
