The end of another decade is approaching – where has the time gone?
It has been a fascinating 10 years at Liverpool, starting with the disastrous ownership of Tom Hicks and George Gillett and ending with the Reds as European champions under Jurgen Klopp.
Goal have selected their Team of the Decade, made up of the best players to represent the Reds between 2010 and 2019.
While most of the side is absolutely spot on, the omission of Steven Gerrard makes almost no sense.
These Liverpool supporters have been airing their views on Twitter, admitting they are bemused with the decision.

Gerrard may have peaked by 2010, but he still has to be in there. Madness. https://t.co/fPHJpzyJ3k

Read Liverpool Verdict
By the time 2010 rolled around, there is no denying that Gerrard was past his very best, having arguably been the world’s best midfielder the previous decade.
He was still a superb player in comparison to most mere mortals, however, spending half of the 2010s at Anfield.
Not selecting him is madness – with all due respect to Jordan Henderson, who has been a very good servant, Gerrard should walk in ahead of him.
