Naby Keita’s Liverpool return appears to edge ever closer, with the Guinean training with his teammates on Friday.
Jurgen Klopp confirmed the news during his pre-Chelsea press conference, although Sunday’s trip to Stamford Bridge is expected to come too soon for him.
Keita has not played for the Reds since the 3-0 loss at Barcelona in May, when he limped off early on at the Nou Camp.
These Liverpool supporters have expressed their delight at the 24-year-old’s return to full fitness on Twitter.

Read Liverpool Verdict
Keita has almost become a forgotten man at Liverpool, having suffered so many injury problems since joining last summer.
The midfielder arrived with an enormous reputation, with some tipping him to swiftly become the Reds’ most important player.
It hasn’t panned out that way yet, but Keita is a special talent who just needs a long run in the side.
Hopefully, he can avoid injury for a while now, slowly finding his feet before becoming a fixture in the side.
A few minutes at MK Dons next Tuesday in the Carabao Cup third round would be perfect.
