Liverpool supporters have been heaping praise on Jordan Henderson, following his fantastic recent gesture.
According to The Times‘ Paul Joyce, the Reds captain is organising a Premier League fund for the NHS, working alongside other captains in the top flight.
It is expected to raise millions of pounds, as the United Kingdom attempts to tackle the current outbreak of illness in the country.
Joyce states that the general reaction to Henderson’s idea is believed to have been largely positive from his colleagues.
The current virus has put paid to Liverpool’s Premier League title hopes for the time being, with football postponed until further notice.
Henderson has played an enormous part in the Reds’ brilliance this season, leading by example both on and off the pitch.
This latest gesture sums up the 29-year-old’s selfless attitude, at a time when Premier League footballers’ integrity is unfairly being called into question.
These Liverpool supporters have been lauding Henderson on Twitter.
