Liverpool fans laud Alexander-Arnold’s brilliance after social media post

Monday is a special day for Trent Alexander-Arnold, as he celebrates his 21st birthday.

The right-back has enjoyed a meteoric rise at boyhood club Liverpool, maturing from an academy star into arguably the best player in Europe in his position.

Alexander-Arnold is the youngest-ever individual to start in back-to-back Champions League finals and he has the potential to be a future legend for club and country,

These Liverpool supporters have been reacting to a birthday Twitter tribute from BT Sport, hailing the defender’s brilliance.

Alexander-Arnold is the heir to Steven Gerrard’s throne at Liverpool, proving to be the local hero with world class talent in his boots.

While he may never quite reach the level of his legendary hero, the 21-year-old can have a stellar career in his own right.

Whether or not he continues as a right-back remains to be seen – he used to play regularly as a central midfielder – but he is integral to Liverpool’s success under Jurgen Klopp.

He is surely a future Reds captain, and if he can avoid serious injury, anything is possible.
