Liverpool supporters love Virgil van Dijk’s latest social media post, with the Dutchman sending a touching message to the fans.
Football is currently in lockdown due to the outbreak of serious illness, with the season potentially not restarting until the summer.
It means the Reds will have to wait to seal Premier League glory, with the campaign hopefully still being completed at some point.
Millions are working from home or off work entirely at the moment, and that is no different with footballers.
Liverpool’s players are being kept away from Melwood in order to avoid the risk of illness, working on fitness programmes from home.
The likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner and Andy Robertson have been keeping supporters entertained with social media content in recent days, but Van Dijk has sent a more heartfelt message.
I just wanted to send a message to say I hope everyone is doing OK in these difficult times.
We must all look after each other in what is tough circumstances for everyone across the whole world. Please stay safe.
We will be back!
