Liverpool beat Shrewsbury Town 1-0 on Tuesday evening, reaching the fifth round of the FA Cup in the process.
This was no normal victory for the Reds, however, as the youngest side in their history got the better of their League One opponents, outplaying them throughout.
Although there was no sign of Jurgen Klopp and his senior players at Anfield, barring James Milner, the ground was still packed to the rafters.
A sell-out crowd roared their team to victory, getting behind the youngsters on a famous night for Neil Critchley and his players.
After the game, Liverpool fans were quick to point out how superior the Reds’ support was compared to Manchester City’s.
Empty seats have been seen at the Etihad for far bigger games in the past, including key Champions League clashes and Manchester derbies.
These Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to bring up the topic, discussing the contrast in support between the two clubs.
Manchester City don’t get this support for their main squad 🤣pic.twitter.com/qHdvGp8P0b
