Read Liverpool Verdict
Klopp is the greatest manager in football history – is that over-reactionary? I think not.
On a serious note, the Geman fully deserved this award. When he joined Liverpool back in October 2015 he famously said, “I will turn the fans from doubters, to believers.”
His quote has come to fruition.
Klopp took the Reds back to the promise land and after landing the Champions League back in June, he wrote himself into the Liverpool history books.
There was lots of debate between who should win the award between Pep Guardiola and Klopp.
It is understandable why people believe Guardiola should win it – after all, he did achieve the first-ever domestic treble and won the Premier League title.
As for Alisson, it only feels like yesterday that Liverpool had a leaky defence, but he has helped change that.
The Brazilian is exactly what you want from your modern day goalkeeper – he has leadership, vision, fantastic distribution and is a quality shot-stopper.
People questioned Alisson’s price tag and now he looks like a bargain.
