Liverpool have named five debutants in an expectedly inexperienced team to face Aston Villa tonight in the Carabao Cup Quarter-Finals.
With the first team in Qatar for the Club World Cup, extreme measures have been taken so the Reds aren’t forced to forfeit the competition.
Morgan Boyes, Tony Gallacher, Isaac Christie-Davies, Thomas Hill and Luis Longstaff all make their first starts in a youthful XI at Villa Park.
Plenty of Liverpool fans have weighed in on the team selection and here are some of the best reactions yet:

READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT
Liverpool obviously won’t expect to go through tonight, but there’ll be great hope that the youngsters can shine through and put on a show at Villa Park.
These are difficult circumstances, but it could very easily be a blessing in disguise with so many hopeful stars looking to impress.
Some of the players won’t have futures at Anfield because the bar is so high, but what a chance to go out and prove what they’re worth tonight.
It’ll be an intriguing watch, that’s for sure.
