Mike Dean has been confirmed as the on-pitch referee for Liverpool’s clash with arch-rivals Everton.
The Reds will host the Blues at Anfield on December 4th and Martin Atkinson has been named as the VAR for the match.
Both officials are hugely unpopular amongst Liverpool fans due to past fixtures where decisions have not gone their way.
Atkinson was most recently slammed for his officiating during Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United and these fans can’t believe their luck…

Atkinson has ruled out multiple Liverpool goals and it’s clear to see that the fans don’t want him anywhere near any of their matches.
To partner him with Dean for such a big game seems an odd choice, especially with both referees obviously disliked by Liverpool and Everton fans.
Expect some controversial decisions in what looks set to be a tasty encounter.
