It was reported on Monday that Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana are expected to leave Liverpool this summer.
That is according to the Independent’s Melissa Reddy, who claimed that they could be the only players to depart the club during the next transfer window, with a ‘quiet summer’ predicted at Anfield.
Lallana joined Liverpool from Southampton back in the summer of 2014, making the switch for £25 million.
Injuries have dogged the 31-year-old’s time at the club, but he has scored 22 goals in 175 Reds appearances.
Clyne also arrived from Saints, linking up with his former teammate the following summer.
A steady right-back when fit, the Englishman hasn’t played for Liverpool since December 2018, having picked up a cruciate ligament injury last summer.
