As is often the case when a team is doing well and a rival is struggling, fans can’t help but stick the boot in!
That is currently the case between Liverpool and Manchester United as supporters of the Merseyside club continue to make fun of their North West neighbours.
The latest tweet, from Reds’ fan Simon Brundish, pointed out that United are spending more in terms of wages on Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Harry Maguire and Juan Mata than Liverpool spend on Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane and it’s fair to say that Liverpool are getting more value for their money at present.

It’s always fun for supporters to laugh at rivals and as long as it doesn’t get too personal, then it should be accepted.
The point made is a good one though, United look a mess at the minute, from top to bottom, whereas Liverpool seem to be getting pretty much everything right.
Reds’ fans will hope that continues for a long time!
