Liverpool swept Leicester aside 4-0 at The King Power on Boxing Day to move 13 points clear at the top of the table.
Roberto Firmino netted twice, with James Milner and Trent Alexander-Arnold each getting one to seal the three points.
After the game, Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel appeared to blame the referee for his side’s defeat.

READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT
We can only presume that Schmeichel was referring to the penalty call, which was a certain penalty. Michael Oliver made the right decision and VAR confirmed it. The ball came into the box from Alexander-Arnold’s corner and Caglar Soyuncu was too slow to pull his arm away, allowing it to strike his arm and deflect it away from a Liverpool player’s path.
Leicester failed to bring their best against the Reds and were not even able to register a single shot on target. Before blaming the referee, Schmeichel should be looking at his own team’s performance first.
